Russell's biggest mistake was waiting for just big names and only fighting once every other year. I know it sucks but if you can't get the guys you want then at least have some stay busy fights. His decisions have been horrible including putting all his marbles in with Santa Cruz, which never materialized. At 130 I see him competitive with a couple guys but Berchelt would beat him, at 135, forget about it, he's to small and would get beat by any of the top guys.

He's fought once a year for the past five years, and I'm sure that's at least partly his responsibility. I think we'll get the same wash, rinse, repeat: A big name will come up, an excuse/reason will come up why they can't fight, then he'll get another B level guy. Yawn.

Stank Davis thinks GRJ is a myth, a character from a modern folklore... smh

Sorry Gary, once you lose to Tug you'll have to fight more than once a year.

GRJ would be a damn midget at 135, I was hoping he'd move to 130 before Tank left has I think he would be more competitive vs Davis than LSC, but at 135 he will be at a massive disadvantage. I would have liked to see GRJ vs Farmer at 130 as well. Despite what he says, he would need an introductory fight at 135 is he is going to have any chance against the top guys. GRJ vs Ladarius Miller or Jezreel Corrales would be a fine fight at 135 to see where Russell would be at

11 years, same story. I'm sure he's made plenty of money but he has had one of the worst careers for a fighter with his talent and abilities. Excuses, excuses, excuses since I first heard his name when he missed the Olympics.

He won't move up to lightweight. He's just taking shots at Santa Cruz for ducking him.

This guy is hands down the biggest waste of talent.
I don’t even think he’s made plenty of money.
At this point in career he should be sitting on at least $10 million but same story every freakin year.

He got beat in the one big fight that he got.
Dude needs to stay busy to stay relevant. He’s got talent but we don’t see him fight at all. What a wasted career.

Brandon Rios has a better career and he is garbage
