Subriel Matias Signs Multi-Fight Deal With Al Haymon and PBC

Move to 147 in his near future?

Though he is ranked high in both the WBC and WBA so a title shot could be coming soon for Matias.

I thought his fight with Dadashev was an eliminator?

Either way, smart pick up by PBC.

No clue to be honest. I just know he's ranked #3 in two organizations.

Nice this kid looks to be the goods and his power is REAL . The dadashev fight was savage .RIP CHAMP U WILL BE MISSED . I think the sky is the limit for this kid if he passes a few more tests. I could see him dominating 140 and then moving up. 140 seems to he fairly easy to unify these days . Then move up for the big money . I cant wait . Hes 5'8 so he could fight thru to 54 maybe 60 if hes special. Hes fighting experienced guys since his 5th fight I believe?? His handlers had confidence. I hope pbc doesnt slow him down , iam not big into who's with who promoter wise unless its preventing a fight , but what other guys at 140 are with the pbc right now ?? Maybe the move to 47 is in the near future

That's a good pick up by PBC, Subriel is about as hot a prospect as there is right now, maybe just behind Vergil Ortiz

WTF took so long for one of the Major American Promotions to sign him? I assumed he was with Top Rank but I guess not. Huge signing though and a great signing! I'm sure he will eventually be at 147 making that Division even deeper

Not going to lie I miss the sport of boxing having Puerto Rican Stars despite not being Puerto Rican. Growing up it was always a Puerto Rican Boxing Star I was a huge fan of from Camacho to Trinidad to Cotto

They need to put him in Barclays and build him up, he can become a Star for sure

Well maybe they should fight each other once the rican moves to 47

I would love that fight and hope they do cross paths, but I can only see one winner right now. Both are great talents but Ortiz has shown a kind of maturity and poise in the ring you usually don't see until much later in a fighters career and he's a significantly bigger dude, expect to see him at 154 in a coupla years and quite possibly 160 before the decade is out, whereas I think Subriel maxes out at 147. If Browny does stay at 140 for another coupla years and gets a coupla decent names under his belt the other nice fight would be Teofimo who propbably woulda moved up by now if it wasn't for the potential Loma fight.
