Too old now but Chicken Cruz, Quigg, Frampton and Mares will go down in the Boxing Hall of Shame for ducking and literally running out of a division. It would be the same for Crawford at 147 but those 5'7 welterweights could get slaughtered in 154, so they are stuck.

Hes 39 and the fighters below welterweight age out faster than the heavier guys.

IF he keeps fighting, only a matter of time before his reflexes fail him and some younger guy brutalizes him. If the younger guy has big power, it will be better he gets stopped early. If the younger guy is an arm puncher, it could be a brutal beating before they throwin the towel.

Older fighters will often say they can see the openings, see what they want to do but just cant get it done anymore, just cant get their body to do it.
