Bro, I’m not saying whether Kovalev is guilty or not however I will say that paying someone is in no way an admission of guilt. MANY attorneys will advise anyone that is wealthy to just pay the person off to make them go away. In a great deal of cases it is much cheaper to pay and make them go away than to have it go to court where hundreds of thousands can potentially becomes millions.

The problem is not many if any on this site is wealthy enough to have any concept of that reality.

Again this is not a statement of his guilt or innocence. I’ll let the judicial system figure that out.
