He’s 39, bro. Rigo lost a lot of time, not just from starting his pro career late, but through inactivity. If you look at his career on Boxrec, it’s just sad how inactive he’s been since coming to the U.S.Props to Rigo for still fighting at 38 at such a lower weight class. I wish he came in his prime, we could of gotten a lot from this guy. I can’t believe fans say he’s boring when he’s got like a 70% KO percentage and he engages in trading power punches with the best.
Sadly it will come to a end by him getting knocked out once he fights a young live lion

Yup I wish he followed the path of Lara and his management. Rigo and Gamboa damaged their careers by so much contractual issues and signing like guajiro managers and marenberos promoters that were ex drug dealers who don’t know **** about boxing business. He’s 39, bro. It’s the truth that’s the reason a lot of Cuban fighters leave Miami and fight and live outside miami so no distractionsComment

Rigo and Gamboa aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. They were ripe for any bullshit that came their way. Lara turned out to have something on the ball. I always felt Landy was the least talented of the three, and he wound up having the best career...by far. Proof that talent isn’t everything.Yup I wish he followed the path of Lara and his management. So true landy was the least talented within the 3 but he played it smart. Moved to Houston and got paid handsomely for each of his title defenses. Gamboa with the right management would of won a title at 135 without the wear and tear he has now. Rigo got blackballed after the Donaire win by top rank and arum but he would of gotten more $$$ if he signed with PBC earlierRigo and Gamboa aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. Although Rigo is/was the most gifted of the three, Gamboa’s career is the one that I regret the most. He was so exciting in his early days. Electrifying, actually. But he’s an idiot. Rigo may not be quite as dumb, but he’s hardheaded. He just couldn’t give people what they wanted. Now he’s forced to anyway, at the very end of his career, for much less than he could have earned. So true landy was the least talented within the 3 but he played it smart.
