kirkland was one of the most exciting fighters in boxing for a period of time, but he's wasted all of that.
mfer couldn't stay out of the street life and that trip to prison [and the loss to a feather fister in his comeback] ruined his career and honestly, his life as we all knew it.
i could have been somebody. i could have been a contender.
it's plain to see that kirkland would have never been a durable guy and that hsi chin is probably just not all that good genetically, but FFS he didn't have to get jello'd in one round by a guy with 6 knockouts and who just went tit for tat with canelo's untalented brother.
he could have stayed in dog shape, active, and had a short but productive career with at least a puncher's chance in every fight. instead he became a frontrunner and one of the weakest chinned "tough guys" you will ever see.
mfer got put on ***** street by the flush shot nobu hit him with. it wasn't even hard. that ended his career and the mystique right there. -
He had a fight a while back with another cherry pick. They are treating him like a prospect with only a hand full of fights and feeding him softies. His days as a contender are over and I think he gets beat by the first top 40 guy he fights.Comment

I hope Hernandez wins. I remember the last time Kirkland got matched up with a so called pillow fisted opponent and it didn't end well for him.
