Canelo’s resume is pedestrian and not that great

I was checking his record just now and that boy hasn’t really beaten anyone apart from his controversial win against GGG and Lara. I’ll give him Jacobs though. Cotto doesn’t count because he was past it.

To me, he’s not a hall of famer yet. But we know how watered down the boxing hall of fame is and he’ll get in for winning belt against boxers he used all the advantage in the world to beat.

After Pacquiao he has the best resume of any active fighter imo. So what does that say for boxing when the #1 P4P guy has the best resume and some fans don’t think too highly of it? Boxing must be full of trash ass fighters then

    I mean who’s #4?

    1. Pacquiao
    2. Canelo
    3. Lomachenko
    Five million light years away
    4. Crawford maybe? And Crawford resume is ass

And honestly IBHOF is trash. Canelo is absolutely a HOF’er RIGHT NOW. Have you not noticed the low standard to get in the IBHOF? Canelo is a legend compared to some dudes who have been inducted.

53-1-2, Ring champion at 160, champion at 154, 160, 168, 175. 14-1-1 in major title fights. Yeah, you must not know the boxing HOF. Dude is in right now for sure.

Its only got to be better than any one else in his divisions and it is.

Go look at the resumes of Hagler Leonard, well you could pick anybody you like and the defining of them will boil down to a few famous opponent bouts .

Canelo is still building his resume he can do a lot over the next 3-5 yrs, I think Canelo is going to shine over the long haul, there is no BS in Canelo he is fighter through and through.

World titles in 4 divisions. Unified WBA, WBC, IBF middleweight champion. Went from super welterweight to light heavyweight. I think his resume is very impressive.

interesting coming from a ggg fan, seeing as Canelo draw is GGG's best effort by a long way.

            dont undersell GGG.

..and Liam Smith and Rocky Fielding.

You are correct from a boxing perspective, but he's Mexican so nothing else matters.

If Canelo isn't a HOFer with his resume, actually I just realised I can't be bothered to dedicate my time to explain this. Your opinion is your own, good luck

There is no doubt in my mind that both Canelo and GGG will go to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. They have already done much more than enough.
