Did a quick lazy google, Snopes is highly skeptical. That sounds Mr. Rogers as hell, but then again there was that one debunked myth that he was a former navy seal who, after seeing too much bloodshed, vowed to devote the rest of his life to spreading warmth and cheer, etc. Only thing that gives me pause, but I'd love it to be true, because, hilarious.

No burglar is going to go back to a house not knowing what improved security or if anyone is there, break in again take nothing and leave a belt. It's BS. They could have just left it in the back yard or given it someone to hand to the police or left it somewhere and posted a note.

You'll be amazed at how many weird burglars there are though. It's definitely 'strange' but if Eubank wanted to make a scene to create interest, there's a million things he could do that would be far more effective. This story doesn't even do anything for him really.

I bet he gets a nice payout from the insurance though. Insurance probably didn't want to pay out for the IBO belt or the IBO didn't want to replace it, so it magically reappeared.

So the Eubank's house is just open season then? Break in whenever you like, take what you need and no repercussions. Maybe next time the burglars will fry themselves up a steak from his fridge and crack open a beer before being on their way.
