Tyson Fury is going inside on Wilder....

No wilder has not fought an elite puncher yet and theres a reason for it . He doesnt have a bad chin at all but hes vulnerable , he has smaller legs and neck and that contributes to the chin most besides what type of shape said fighter is in and what they are born with . I personally think AJ can stop wilder early if he goes at him and ****s hard inside . If he fights outside wilder stretches him . All iam saying is there has to be a reason wilder isnt fighting big hitters . Admittingly theres not a tonne of Mssive punchers in the top 10 but whyte , and josh can crack and his handlers dont seem to keen on matching him with them . If lennox was prime right now he would ****ing annihilate and stop wilder . Within 3 rounds. I think vitali klitschko would have eaten his shots and broken him down . Wilder is lucky he is in the era he is in now. And if he sticks around long enuff he may have to face some of these young guns and he will have his hands full . I personally think fury beats him and once his little aura is broken he is going to struggle . But only time will tell .
You make a lot of good points, but Wilder is always going to carry a monster of a punch, even if Fury beats him again.
I think he would only struggle after losing, depending on how he loses. I think he simply is what he is. A guy that has never going to able to box with a skilled boxer, but there’s probably only Fury that can do that for 12 rounds. If he just gets outboxed and loses, i don’t think it’ll have a detrimental effect on him.
Aside from boxing skills, i think one of Wilder’s weaknesses that might catch up with him is the fact he rarely throws unless he his set to throw. Fury can always cut down Wilder’s work rate because he is skilled at being able to offset fighters. So imagine someone knocks Wilder out, he might become gun shy after that, which isn’t good for guy that doesn’t throw that many shots anyway, then i think he would struggle.
Plus if he gets knocked out, then fighters afterwards aren’t going to be thinking they have to go 12 rounds without taking one of his big shots, they will go in thinking they just need to stop him.
That’s one of the big misconceptions with Wilder. “Nobody can go 12 with him”. Well you don’t need to if you can stop him. I think that’s what Fury is thinking. Anyone can be knocked out at HW. I think Fury is the one that’s crazy enough and good enough to put it on Wilder and not be scared of what’s coming back.
Even though i don’t rate Whyte that highly, i always felt he would be another fighter that would fight Wilder with that mentality too.
12 rounds is a long time to only think about not getting caught, especially with a guy that has a real knack for finding the right shot.Last edited by deathofaclown; 02-03-2020, 08:29 AM.Comment

The more Fury opens up the more at risk he will be at. He is going to box and hold, he already knows what he is facing.
Plus there is always a chance that he might uppercut himself.Comment

Well it's new because he didn't really use it much at all in the first Wilder fight. If he comes out in round 1 and sits on Wilder's chest, then even if this style hasn't really been used or developed much since 2012, it's still a new wrinkle of complexity in the fight I guess.
Given he already had good inside work and focus on inside training why do you think we did not see it in the first fight?
Follow up, do you reckon he's improved or that he's simply coming in with a different plan?Comment

it's a good strategy if he could do it. wilder is at his most dangerous if he could have enough distance and leverage to throw his power punches at full extent. get inside and make him throw short punches instead that will lessen the impact of his power.Comment

Orrrrr he's just bsing and he will box like he always does with a tiny bit more feet planting haha
For the follow up, no I don't think he's improved at all. Though people forget Wilder did a hell of a lot more than Wlad did. If Wlad had let his hands go in the same way, maybe he could have connected himself. I haven't really seen any sparring footage from this current camp and they threw all the journo's out during the 24/7 pbc thing. So either that's to give the illusion of something different, or they are actually doing something different.Last edited by Articulateboxin; 02-03-2020, 11:17 PM.Comment
