these kind of joke fights used to be regulated on gimmicky tv shows with washed up celebs, now it's promoted as some big event and the sad thing is that the numbers of viewers are probably better than highly matched up boxers. Social Media has made society into a spectacle and not in a good way...

****** matchup. Can we at least see Paul fight someone his own size/weight? What a fkn joke, his opponent was built like a little *****. Maybe it's just that i hate jake paul and want nothing more than to see him get ktfo.

I’d actually be pretty interested in Jake Paul vs. KSI. At the very least, it’s guaranteed to be a super exciting fight. The build up will be both cringey and hilarious lol

Fight sports are the only sport where fans would rather watch famous people doing something poorly instead of unknowns doing something very well. Like no one would watch Jerry Seinfeld play basketball, but more people would watch Jerry Seinfeld box Kramer than Crawford-Spence. It's a strange phenomenon.

I watched this on YouTUbe just now and on the side panel was a video that made me laugh "Joe Weller predicts AnEsonGIb Destruction of Jake Paul". It looked like AnEsonGIb couldn't even stand up, let alone fight.

I never even heard of the guy before this.

It makes sense though. Boxing is the most easily accessible sport emotionally. Anyone can throw a punch. It’s just a question of if you can throw it right, but most people who watch don’t even care about that part lol. It’s pretty easy to watch and get into.

Whatever it brings more eyes to the sport. These guys who are watching for the first time see these YouTube boxers, maybe they like it and want to watch real boxing. Who knows. I don’t think it can hurt the sport. Just don’t make it the main event. Making these the main event is just disrespectful to the sport on the whole.
