Comments Thread For: Andrade Hadn't Heard Of Keeler Before Presented As Opponent

Demetrius Andrade didn't even know Luke Keeler existed before the Irish contender was presented as a potential opponent late last year. The undefeated Andrade was just being honest, not dismissive, when he told BoxingScene.com he was completely unfamiliar with his upcoming opponent to that point. The southpaw from Providence, Rhode Island, has familiarized himself with Keeler since their fight was made, but he isn't particularly concerned about Keeler's skills entering their 12-round fight for Andrade's WBO middleweight title Thursday night at Meridian at Island Gardens in Miami.

It’s sad to see what Andrade has done with his career....and it’s sad to see where it will probably end up....obscurity.

If you didn't know who he was before they brought him up to you as an opponent, why accept him as an opponent? I don't know why Hearn is using Tevin Farmer to support Andrade vs. Keeler? He should be using Andrade to support Farmer vs. Diaz!

It seems to me Andrade is full of it. Can't take him seriously or even look forward to watching him fight. Him and like others at the top of their division will occupy space keeping the worthy opponents out to dry. Those that would give a fight won't get a chance. I spent some years in a country that had a saying for that kind of stuff. "NO CAJONES" and with Andrade that is correct!

Why does Andrade think he’s so good? He got dropped and barely beat vanes matrosyan. To put this in perspective triple. G beat vanes in like 2 rounds. So anyone thinking Andrade is calling canelo and triple g out for anything other than a pay check ur mistaken lol. Like dude arguably recently lost to jack culcay and his win over Walter kanduoka was BS Andrade was dirty af landing punches to a downed opponent

Golovkin beat the inactive, couch potato, pot head version of Vanes. That's good perspective too.
