Is boxing one of the least talented sports?

Let’s be honest, what other sports could you go into at age 18 like AJ and Wilder, having never boxed before, and end up among the top of the sport?

Would it be possible in any other sport, except maybe MMA? Nothing comes to mind.

I mean, obviously to be like Floyd or something, that is a lifetimes work. But overall, boxing must be one of the sports that takes the least ability to actually get to near the top.

Imagine someone first playing football or basketball age 18 and becoming good enough to be a top pro? - not gonna happen.

As i said. Nobody is going to first play basketball at age 18 and be good enough to compete at the top.

      Boxing is a bums sport.

Fight ending power is the equivalent of someone throwing an 80 yard pass or firing a 140 mph slapshot. If some 18 year old had that sort of ability then they would make the team.

Well most of the american sports like American Football take almost no talent too actually, so you’re probably right.

There’s absolutely no way someone could take up a real skilled sport like football (soccer) at 18 and ever be good enough to play professionally, never mind the top level.

But they’re not late bloomers. I’m talking about guys that had never boxed until 18 or so and went to the top.

Tell me some people who played those sports for the very first time at 18 and playing in the NBA, NFL, MLB..
