Comments Thread For: Whyte is Backing Derek Chisora To Shock Oleksandr Usyk

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte believes his former rival, Derek Chisora, is more than capable of shocking Oleksandr Usyk. Promoter Eddie Hearn, who works with both boxers, is looking to match Chisora and Usyk on March 28th. Usyk unified the entire cruiserweight division back in 2018, and won the World Boxing Super Series tournament, and made a decision to move up to heavyweight in 2019.

Chisora/Usyk is a great fight. I think Usyk would most likely win but Chisora is a real test and will cause him problems to solve.

This is Usyk's chance to prove he belongs in the division. If he can't beat Chisora he's not going to beat the top guys.

Chisora is strong and at this stage of his career is dedicated and in-shape. He will use all the dirty tricks to throw Usyk off his game and try and walk through him and swing bombs at him.

Real test for Usyk and a proper welcome to heavyweight, will go a long way to see if he has the power to cope at HW.

Chisora has 9 losses. If Usyk can't handle him, then Joshua is totally out of the question.

Very dangerous fight for Usyk. Wilder the big fraud from alabama would never dare fight Chisora. For Usyk to risk a big title $hot vs Chisora speaks volumes about his balls and confidence. None of Haymon's protected frauds have one tenth of the courage and confidence that Usyk has.

These Eastern Europeans are saving boxing and showing us what it's about. Haymon's American protected frauds all suck with their non stop handpicked rigged sparring sessions.

          Boycott PBC Haymon wilder.

As bad as I hate to say it with the way Usyk handled Witherspoon Chirosa may can pull off the upset. Whyte may be on to something as bad as I hate agreeing with him.

Chisora would have to rough up Usyk and maul him and force him to the ropes and use his size to win. Usyk would have to circle and keep the fight in ring center to win. Interesting fight of styles.

Chisora is a tough cookie but he has had problems in the past with guys who can box & move. Agit Kabayel is a perfect example. Chisora is a bull & he doesn't ever get pushed around in his fights. He is aggressive & always on the hunt. He will want to keep Usyk on the ropes so he can overpower him & throw those big overhand rights. I don't really judge Usyk on his performance against Witherspoon as it was his first fight at HW & he was preparing for Carlos Takam. I don't think Usyk will be knocking out too many HWs but he can certainly go 12 rounds & outbox them. If he is on his game he could cruise to a very easy UD over Chisora. Chris Byrd beat some good HWs who had substantial weight advantages by outboxing them & not getting hit cleanly. Usyk is more skilled than Byrd. This guy cleaned out the CW division so he has no reason not to move up & test his skills with the big boys. There is serious money to make in the HW division. I hope this fight happens & if Usyk can't beat Chisora than he might be in for a tough go at HW.

                  Good fight

Not sure who wins but this seems like a good fight for both guys.
