Shawn Porter: Crawford has to come to PBC for fight.

There you have it. Shawn said it will be up to him and Crawford personally, to sit down and talk about this fight, not anyone else. Yet has his Daddy run around the media yelling Shawn wants the fight while Shawn himself will never utter the words and will skirt around Bob Arum while they hang at the same events.

Porter isn’t afraid, but he doesn’t really want it. Just a little pump fake.

I think Porter is targeting Josesito Lopez next hoping to become Spence's mandatory through the WBC.

I think Crawford beats Porter in a competitive match .
The reality is Arum is not risking the WBO WW belt to be put in line with PBC. So fight ain't happening unless Crawford either leaves TR or vacates his title to other TR stablemates while still on TR.

The reality is exactly what Porter said.

For the fight to happen, Crawford has to fight on a PBC network.

I’ve never seen a top 5 p4p world champion leave his network to fight a random contender.

So the fight won’t happen because of the typical politics.

On paper it’s good fight. But when they’re not 100% into throwing fists with each other, it won’t really be that good. Neither of them wanted it for now. They have to sort out that friendship first before we seriously start discussing this

Until then, Garcia is the better opponent for Crawford right now. No friendship on the line

More likely. Porter doesn’t want the fight, he may take it if Crawford decides he wants it(just like I’d assume the same for Crawford), but then this “only on PBC” is just the typical PBC roadblock.

This is why boxing is a cliche sport.

You forgot the conditions of how Pacquiao/Mayweather finally happened between promoters TR and PBC. Pacquiao was robbed in the 1st Bradley fight (thx to Arum) and Bradley held the WBO belt until after the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight was said and done. Immediately after that fight, Pacquiao/Bradley rematch happened and Pacquiao got the WBO belt back. All this happened while Pacquiao was still with Top Rank. But I do agree... it's nothing but politics in the way. Neither boxer has not yet made ridiculous demands to ducking each other.

Hopefully Wilder Fury II will be successful. The success of that fight would be an incentive for both sides to be willing to make a deal for Spence Crawford. If Wilder Fury bombs than you can forget about both networks doing any kind of joint promotion in the near future.
