I don't know what the truth is with this, Oscar says Charlo was offered the fight and turned it down and of course Canelo ended up vacating to fight something more lucrative. The bonus Canelo has is that his resume is the best in the entire sport, so even if he wanted to avoid somebody like Charlo, he's got the cash and the history to do so. Charlo will remain a B side until he's bending over backwards to fight him, just like BJS, Andrade and Callum Smith will be to land the fight. That's the reality of it, right or wrong!
