For the lazy people. It's pretty tame. But then so is the supposed proof that Merchant is racist in that thread. I didn't really read much of it, but the oreo comment alone didn't really convince me.

I don't think it's about racism per se. It's more about through which lenses you see life and boxing. There's no such thing as color blindness, but I really wouldn't have paid attention to the referee's skin color unless he mentioned it. It's so irrelevant in this scenario, but obviously this popped out to Merchant's eyes. Makes you question his entire view of boxing.

Great point yeah. It's definitely a pointless comment to try and be clever or seem funny but ends up just sounding like he's from another era... which he clearly is. It had no relevance to the fight at hand.

I barely ever notice the ref if they're doing their job properly. Unless they are self important like Jack Reiss or sometimes when they are comically small compared to 2 massive heavyweights.
