This is why im thinking theres going to be a UK PBC PPV. They had this or Campbell/Fňrtuna earmarked for chief support. Won this purse bid and half an hour later announce a deals been done for Campbell/Fortuna. Lost this purse bid and theyd have called purse bids on Campbell/Fortuna

If Taylor loses, it's a huge blow to ESPN and a huge gain for PBC. ESPN loses two world titles and PBC gains two world titles. And they're not WBO titles, they're "big 3" belts. The ones Fox wants. PBC also has Postol, the mandatory to the WBC belt at 140, against a champion who also has the WBO. So while you're right that PBC has no top fighters at 140, they do now have the challengers in the next WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO title fights at that weight. They win one of those two fights and they suddenly have huge power in the division.Comment

That's a big "IF" and you don't waste money on "it's" when you can be spending it on your own fighters who need a date. There is no benefit to PBC showing this fight. If he wins then you put Robert Easter in there with him or that gives Regis an incentive to sign with you. But you don't waste money on "if's"
There's no benefit to PBC showing this fight? PBC JUST SIGNED THE DUDE AND BELIEVES HE CAN WIN THE UNIFIED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Of course they're going to want to show it.Comment

Every single time you go the mandatory route, you're spending money on IF. That's how boxing works.

Wait, thought BoxNation was done for just a month ago? Warren still part of Boxnation?Comment

This is bad news..... Taylor should have signed with Hearn or Warren.... built him up in UK before the move state-side.
TR aren't even willing to put anything in to purse bids against no-names.
Do not be surprised if Taylor vacates.Comment

Sampson signed the fighter, just like he signs a lot of fighters who have never been associated in any way, shape or form with PBC. He was Sergio Martinez' longtime promoter. You think he invested his money so poorly since then that he has to run to his sugar daddy Haymon to win purse bids for low seven figure amounts?Comment
