    Former WBA super featherweight world champion Andrew "El Chango" Cancio, the working man's hero who reached the pinnacle of the sport, has signed a multi-fight promotional contract with Top Rank. Cancio, who still holds down a full-time job at Southern California Gas Company, is expected to make his Top Rank on ESPN debut in April.

      Glad to see he has been signed. From what i heard he said some things about GBP that caused him to be dropped...not sure the story there, but at least he can get some more paydays.

        I hope he gets some good opportunities to show against some name opponents, this man is fun to watch, full time work and boxing is tough and he seems like he should be able to contend in big fights if he can get the kind of money that allows him to committ all of his time to training,, reminds me of Israel Vasquez for some reason

          There's some monsters at the 130 pound division fighting under Top Rank. I hope Cancio can rack up some solid wins/paydays and possibly win another world title. Would love to see the Cinderella story repeated.

              Good for Cancio! He will get paid all the while he slowly gets pisitioned for a world title. Which in his case is good. He has a bad loss to shake off and I belive he will. Even in that mix of unbelievable tallent all grouped together. Kinda surreal how much talent is at 130 and TR reps. They can throw darts to create matchups and can't go wrong where it lands.
