I understand what you're saying. I just wonder what would have happened if we had these same political hurdles back in the day. For example, what if Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier were on DAZN and ESPN respectively? Would the fight simply not happen? I'm not saying I have all the answers but it's disheartening to think that certain legacy-defining fights simply can't happen. Oh well, I guess that comes with the territory these days.
Why do people keep thinking A-sides will cross the street for one fight?

The fans have themselves to blame for accepting championships that were created out of thin air like the WBO title. The more organizations that are recognized, the easier it is for people to hide in their own sandbox.I understand what you're saying. That is the #1 problem. Nobody has to work together because there are enough belts for everyone to have their own. In the days of Ali and Frazier, if you wanted to be the champion, you had to fight the champion. So the current problem wasn't possible.Comment

Cool so they won't accept fight offers and they won't send any offers but at the same time they will get their fighters to say they want to fight all these guys they are refusing to and not making offers to fight. Why would PBC send offers they know there's no chance will be accepted? Hearn sends offers he knows there's no chance will be accepted because he's doing it to brainwash his fans. PBC doesn't waste time with that kind of stuff, so there's no reason. When GGG was looking for a home, PBC made him a lucrative offer. DAZN made a better offer, so he went to DAZN. He's not looking for a home right now, so why make him offers there's no chance he'll accept?Comment

PBC does things the right way. They go to purse bid. They know Canelo isn't going to voluntarily fight off of DAZN, so they waited for Charlo's mandatory shot and if DAZN wants Charlo, they can win the purse bid. So if you're going to blame anyone, blame Canelo for vacating.
Just like when everyone complained about the situation with Stevenson and Kovalev. PBC knew Kovalev wouldn't voluntarily fight off of HBO, so they waited for it to be mandatory and if HBO wanted the fight, they can win the purse bid. If you're going to blame anyone, blame Kovalev for vacating.Comment
