If you haven't been paying attention, Fury and Wilder are fighting next month and this is about what comes after that. That is to say, who is waiting their turn for a crack. The crux of the matter, is that Fury and Wilder want to keep fighting without the person waiting for his turn to have a crack.

Whether Joshua has talked to Team Wilder or not -- and Warren's claim that he spoke to Finkel and he denied it really means very little -- it's a smart move to claim he has. Suddenly Warren is talking about trying to make Fury vs Joshua in the near future.

Its a misunderstanding, AJ's team said they had had meetings about the fight.
Those meetings were with Saudi money men (and others) to try and get a massive payout set up. They haven't said they spoke to "Shirley" at all.

He doesn't know if its true so he reaches out to Shelly to ask. If Shelly was to say; 'Yes, it's true', I would be questioning whether Wilder would try and wriggle out of the rematch (As Joshua suggested) if he beats Fury. The same guy earned a reported £75 million for his last fight against that same fighter who was a 25-1 underdog.

The same guy has by far the best resume. He has beaten Klitschko, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz, Povetkin to name a few. They are all at least top10 fighters.

He holds the belts , the cash and the best resume. So of course he isn’t irrelevant, he has the most people wanting to watch him for one (with possibly only exception Canelo in certain areas of the world)

Whyte and Parker are trash and are perfect examples of how easy it is to get into the top 10 in this weak era. Ruiz was a fringe contender before he beat AJ. AJs resume is overrated and it doesn’t support him being #1 especially after the Ruiz debacle.

Ethe original point was around relevance , and all of those points are factors.
