Why has there not been an undisputed HW champ since Lenox Lewis 20 years ago?

Lewis was the last undisputed HW in boxing in 2000, why hasn't there been one since and has hurt boxing as a whole?

Before Lewis all the greats had been undisputed at one point, Holyfield, Tyson, Ali, Marciano, Louis etc.

Its hard to get all 4 belts. Every org has their own mandatories and some times they are some weird picks, each org always has to be different and have their own picks and the more belts you have the more likely they will disagree on who is an acceptable defense ect. I would rather them just fight the best fighters.

Looks like Lewis had all 4 for a few months and vacated the WBA for whatever reason to fight Grant. Looks like Holyfield fought Ruiz just after and if Ruiz was the mandatory then makes sense Lewis vacated it, because he had problems with Don King. He was a smart guy and refused to sign King's multi fight contracts.

Also lol at even mentioning "Ali, Marciano, Louis" there were only 1-2 belts at that time. I think 2 belts by Ali's era.

        This right here.

Since they wouldn't fight, it took years for Vlad to be considered the Lineal champ as well.

Hopefully, we'll get one this year or early next.

Lewis had all 3 . The wbo wasnt considered relevant until hopkins beat hoya for it . Lennox never held the wbo it was a trinket then .holding that then would have done nothing for his undisputed status .same with ibo trinket . If that's what u are referring to
