Would or should the big boxing organizations sanction there title to be used in a fight with Conor? To me it's a disgrace to boxing but certainly there are guys that would want that cash grab. Is there rules in place to say someone, from another sport, can't come in and step in front everyone else in the rankings, fighting a title fight?
Would title organizations sanction another McGregor fight?

As a title holder you could always have a voluntary title defense if it's not clear who the mandatory is or if you just beat the mandatory of if you've paid the mandatory a step aside fee. Any sanctioning body would jump on a Conor Mcgregor fight because of the huge sanctioning fee they could be making. These people have proven time in and again over the course of the past 50 years that they only care about the money and that they have 0 principles. -
Exactly. They would sanction Conor vs a bear for the right price. As a title holder you could always have a voluntary title defense if it's not clear who the mandatory is or if you just beat the mandatory of if you've paid the mandatory a step aside fee. No. These type fights are more events than championship caliber boxing matches but you never know with these greedy cokksukkcers (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF)Comment

To fight for a world title, Conor must be rated in the top 15. I could see one of the organizations rating him in the top 15 if he beat Paulie Malignaggi or something, but they can't rate him in the top 15 without ever winning a boxing match.
If he really wants to win a world title, he has to get rated first.Comment

why not? they completely take a massive dump on anything that has credibility in the Boxing game... money talks. im sure mcgregor has enough money to influence them to give him a shot.Comment

I'd contend that these big "events" don't really help boxing despite the grand PPV numbers. If anything it has to hurt boxing from the grassroot to contender level where the sport isn't creating an atmosphere of real competition. If McGregor had the mentality to come in as a green contender and work himself up into the rankings with around 5-10 fights, I'd be all for it. But given what we saw against Floyd he has no desire to carry the sport in any way. He is just the UFC Mayweather cashing out until the sport(s) say no moreComment
