Good attitude to have, there is always room for improvement. Some fighters tend to be quite delusional about their performances at the times so this is refreshing. I dont expect that much of Verdejo, I wasn't caught in the hype train as I missed almost all of his fights, but I do remember there being some talk of him. Hopefully he does well in the future bouts and has some exciting ones as well

Too many deserving PR prospects and champions go unnoticed, while Verdejo gets the ink. I never understood what they saw in him, other than he looks like he can dance.

          Exactly.

I had him as a C- at his best. He isn't even in the C range now. Has a potential to climb back to C- someday, tho.

YUP and whats crazy they had him prospect of the year back on 2015 I think it was and I think he the only prospect of the year that has failed to do anything in recent history.

I enjoyed watching him as a prospect and he is still young so he got a chance.

Theres like 100 more like that ... and every time I try telling people that Puerto Ricans love boxing... but have had zero talent in the last 40 to 50 years.... they get upset...it's true... but because they love boxing so much is easy to be gullible to the marketing lies... promoters take their money by marketing anyone who's willing to put on a pair of boxing gloves and facing them against 50 day and night laborers to make them look like killers. .. the lie is more credible if they all 50 of those pseudo boxers are mexican!!

I tried to find the lozado fight on YouTube and it's not there. Guess Top Rank burned it like PBC did the Broner - Maidana fight.

Verdejo is the perfect example of what happens when you overpay and over hype a fighter. He was looking real good until the money and hype got to him. People were actually saying that Verdejo would stop Oscar Valdéz when Valdéz was campaigning at 130 before moving down to 126. Verdejo will never reach his potential.

To me it seems like Verdejo can't adjust. He is very repetitive with the way he fights, he has no extra dimensions. He looked good as a prospect but once you go to the next level it is very telling in how far a boxer will go. I don't see him doing to much and getting any better.
