So which would you prefer, a division be like 160 was where ggg was just beating up bums and retreads ranked because no one else could be? Or hwt where wlad beat bum after bum and no one watched?

Better yet, let’s have every division like LW and mw are now where the A+ level fighter who is the champion avoids the potentially mandatory by becoming emeritus so not to risk losing before a huge money fight.

You sure you’re a boxing fan?
Last night wasn't supposed to be an evenly matched fight, It was only after the second round that viewers realised Williams was vulnerable. Not saying Rosario is a bad fighter but he was a sizeable underdog.

Keep it real man, A Rosario type would get killed by Golovkin and then he'd be referred to as a dominican bum that no one had ever heard of...... "Oh how did this guy get such a high ranking".

The difference is simply that Golovkin knocked out his overmatched opponents, where as Williams just got KO'd by his. Williams was a -3000 favourite for Christ sake, don't know where you pulled out this evenly matched stuff from. Yeah it turned out that way but that was not the plan

Maybe the odds were misplaced. Yes he was a huge underdog. But as you said by round 2 it was clear the odds were mistaken.

Williams has always been vulnerable. He gets hit a lot. Why would someone who we’ve all seen take that amount of damage be such a huge favorite?

He might get killed. Or he might do what deverychenko did and come close to winning.

If you listened to the post fight interview, Rosario trained over 3 months for this fight. He and his team k ew he was huge underdog so they prepared differently. This was the 1st time he left home and his family and went away and just trained.

This was a completely different Rosario that had entered the ring previously. Dude looked huge. Strong, fit. That is why the plan was derailed.

What I don’t understand is why anyone would be upset with what happened sat night. We got a good fight, we got another player at 154.

Pretty much. Hurd is a one dimensional journeyman, Charlo has already been exposed, Lara is on the down slide of his career, Williams lost to a cherry pick, and there are no compelling match ups that are ever going to be PPV worthy.

I’m not complaining, I’m pointing out that 154 sucks.

It does, there isn’t even a debate. In fact you don’t disagree. You complain that I’m complaining because watching bad boxers beat up on each other entertains you.

But let’s go over the divisions you named.

            At middleweight:

GGG fought Danny Jacobs, Canelo twice and Sergey Derevyanchenko.

Canelo fought GGG twice and Danny Jacobs.

Danny Jacobs fought GGG, Canelo and Sergey Derevyanchenko.

All of those fights were incredibly competitive fights involving very good fighters.

160 is way better than 154 and has been way more entertaining to watch.

            At heavyweight:

You went back to an era that ended six years ago because the current heavyweight division is way better and has more quality fights than 154 does right now.

Let’s also point out that heavyweight was that way because the Klitschko brothers wouldn’t fight each other and were all-time talents. So the rest of the division was like 154 is now and the Klitschko brothers were actually good.

            Lightweight:

Vasyl Lomachenko fought everyone and collected three belts. He’s now fighting for the fourth one. The WBC named him a franchise champion to hand the regular WBC title to someone who doesn’t matter.

Everyone fights each other at 135 and the division has way more talent than 154.

And again, none of this of this even applies to the original point. Everyone at 154 sucks. There’s no dis*****g that.

Rosario was a 25-1 underdog. Even if the odds were wrong, they weren’t that off. It wasn’t a pick em fight that was accidentally set at 25-1. Rosario is a bum and Williams wasn’t supposed to be a bum.

Now we know they’re both bums.

And again, you’re missing the point. No one is upset. It’s just clear now that 154 is an awful division. There’s not even a debate here.

It's funny how far away we are from Charlo-Hurd.

Charlo loses to Harrison, wins the rematch by TKO while down on the cards. Trilogy likely.

Hurd loses to Williams. Refuses rematch. Williams loses first defense to Rosario.

How does a division suck when on any given night either fighter has a chance to win?

So what if there isn’t one A+ level fighter. These aren’t shoebox or fnf fights with prospects.

Dude you are skipping past 5 years of suck at mw. My point about hwt was do you want to go back to that where no one cares because the outcome was a forgone conclusion?

154 doesn’t suck. It has a lot of talented guys, just doesn’t have a top tier guy. Frankly, it’s like crusierweight was just before Usyk cleaned everyone out with the super 6. We didn’t know who would end up on top.

There is something really suspect about you and other guys that always go to the negative after certain fights.

Rosario showed what can happen when you train and prepared properly. This fight also showed jrock is a tough but flawed fighter, something we all knew from watching him. Made for great TV. The crowd was great as well.

You can’t even set aside your agenda to enjoy the fights. Very suspect.

I didn’t say it was a pick em fight. jrock is solid but flawed in a way that makes every fight a potential upset.

That is why they call the sport the theater of the unexpected.

You think this means they’re both bums. Wow you really are suspect.

You are getting great fights, including foty type fights in the division, because they are all about equal and are flawed yet you are focusing on the division sucking.

How does a division suck when on any given night either fighter has a chance to win?

Because of the reason why they all have a chance to win. It’s because they all suck!

I don’t care if there isn’t a great fighter at 154. I’m just pointing that fact out.

I would prefer there’s competition and great fighters in a division. I didn’t say, “I wish there was one guy at 154 who dominated.” I just pointed out it’s a bad division.

There aren’t a lot of talented guys at 154. They all suck.

                      Cruiserweight sucks too.

What’s suspect about me pointing out that an entire division is trash?

Rosario showed what can happen if you train hard and your opponent is suspect... his opponent was a unified champion. I don’t even know how you disagree with me.

What agenda? I hate super welterweights?
