Floyd definitely deserves it here, I honestly don't have a problem with it. Floyd, Canelo, Pac in that order seems right.

Anything is possible floyds proven it..

The problem with your ranking system is you judge prime and greatness in part on whether they are fighting manny or Floyd.

For example, you will count morales as the ATG morales rather than the actual morales manny defeated- the one that had been obliterated by Raheem and was coming back down in weight to 130 which he struggled to make and was 2-7 after that fight.

If you put every manny and Floyd opponent under the same microscope Floyd comes out ahead.

It was a reasonable gauge he said. A reasonable gauge. He also listed off information outside of their rankings (where they were in their careers, what victories they were coming off of, what future accomplishments they achieved) to further justify his stance. Any reader who tries to ignore the clearly stated facts of the article loses credibility.

Guys, it’s an opinion piece. Floyd was voted in on the opinion of professional writers. It’s not some robbery or conspiracy. To think that people actually think that the ONLY way someone could think that Mayweather is FOTD after the wins and numbers he’s put up the last ten years is ridiculous. People have the Teddy Atlas syndrome where ANYTHING that happens in this sport that they don’t agree with is corruption, or a blind robbery, or an outrage.

Sometimes folks, you need a o understand that things are subjective and people can legitimately see things differently than you.

I’ll admit I’m a Floyd fan through and through over Pac. But I’m a boxing fan first. Pacquiao absolutely deserves FOTD last year, even outside of Cotto, Hatton, and Oscar wins. This was a decade of him climbing lower divisions too and fighting Morales, Marco Antonio, and Marquez. Floyd made a big splash too, and sure, some people thought he deserved it. Everyone could make an argument but pac won them. This decade it was Floyd. Chill the F out.

              So bitter.

I think Cliff Rold is an excellent writer and keeper of the flame for boxing tradition. Basing his ratings on a point system...going off the ratings of established and respected entities...with standards that apply equally to all fighters across the board? That's a great way to try to eliminate bias and be objective.

As opposed to your criteria which seems to consist of little more than hating Floyd Mayweather.

Chill out? You’re the one getting emotional because as you freely admit, you’re a Floyd fan. The conversation ends there. You seem to believe that glorified bloggers who are now considered writers are somehow immune to bias.

So now Ring is considered established and respected? I see you Floyd fans each day trashing Ring, especially Doug Fischer and Steve Kim, not to mention Oscar. Now all of the sudden they have credibility when it aligns wiht your bias.

Floyd is american and these judges are americans.
It is not the first time Floyd wins via corrupted judges.

Manny got blasted out by Marquez, got beat by Bradley, Horn and Mayweather.

He also fought three bonafide bums, Broner, Brandon Rios and Mathysse.

Yet you think he should have won? Keep smoking devil’s smoke
