Great fight no doubt, I'm going tomorrow to a fight here in PR, the main event is Jose Cotto against Ivan Hernandez and b4 that Jose Torres (Ricardo Torres lil bro) against Edwin "Zazule" Vazquez. It will be televised by Telefutura's Solo Boxeo.

also it can be a bad thing to be called the PR Gatti, if you ever step in the ring with Mayweather you definitly don't wanna be like Gatti.
Yeah, I definitely agree. I wasn't saying that it was a good thing, I just reported what Merchant said. I definitely think Cotto is much more skilled than Gatti. It would shock me if some would say otherwise.

All the folks praising Cotto, you do realize that Torres took the fight on two weeks notice? Such a great fight but no one has talked about a rematch? hmmmmmmmmmm.

He took the fight with 3wks noticed (it was make official 2 wks before the fight). He was in good shape as he just had an easy victory (3rd KO) over Edwin Vasquez 1 month with 3wks before.

This fight was not even close to fight of the year. It was a GREAT fight without a doubt, but there was 3 fights that were better IMO.

                      Castillo-Corrales I
                      Arce-Hussein I
                      Morales-Pacquiao I
                      Cotto-Torres

However, it was a great fight.
