Anyway should be good. Yafai hasn’t looked that good in recent fights but maybe he needs a good fight to get up for.

As for Gonzalez, who knows what he has left. Yafai isn’t a big puncher, which is a good thing for Roman.
Yafai definitely avoided Inoue in 2017, targetting Gonzalez instead at that time, but Gonzalez didn't want it for whatever reason after his 2 losses to Rungvisai, so Yafai left hanging at that time as Hearn swerved Cuadras too. Hearn also realised that Rungvisai would have destroyed Yafai - just too strong- so that was avoided.

Kind of lost track after that as talk of Ancajas, which fell through, then Estrada, which also didn't happen due to Estrada hand injury, so now back to Plan A which was Gonzalez from the getgo.

For sure Yafai hasn't looked that great over the last couple of years - Carmona should have been easier in 2018 (albeit Carmona coming in overweight), then Israel Gonzalez wasn't that convincing, and Jiminez wasn't really a top level opponent.

Meantime Tito been relatively inactive and taking his time to get into fights now. I think Yafai will be more up for this that some of his previous fights, and I'm expecting Yafai to look really good in the first few rounds - then expecting Gonzalez to get into his groove a little and the middle rounds will decide it - if Gonzalez puts some hurt on him in the mid rounds then Yafai might wilt, so depends on how Yafai handles the middle rounds and what Gonzalez has left.

Could be a really good fight.

Gonzalez has a good shot here. At least he dont have to worry about incoming punches. Yafai looks like a horse but dont have its power and he cant punch for sht.

            Great fight for Roman

If he has anything left he’ll smash Yafai IMO.

I was in Vegas for Canelo-GGG 2 and literally nobody is in the arena for the undercard, so I literally got to walk down and watch Gonzalez from ringside and the speed, power, timing etc is definitely still there. It’s just whether he can sustain it at the higher levels.

Will be rooting for Chocolatito as always. War Gonzalez!
