No it didn't just the same way if Wilder/Fury or AJ had fought that guy I would have called them bums.

If Usyk fought a genuine top 20-HW and didn't get hit and stopped his opponent - yes I would be impressed

What made you lower your standards so much?

It was his 1st fight at the weight and nobody had ever beaten Witherspoon so thoroughly.
      Wtf do u expect exactly?

Uysk is much, much bigger than Chisora in person, I was so shocked seeing them 6ft away from each other. I think Uysk would simply apply the Tyson Fury blueprint for him. Not to say Chisora has no chance, Uysk isn't as elusive as people think and it only takes 1 at HW!

As it stands, it seems he's side stepping Chisora and waiting for AJ. I'm not sure why really, perhaps they don't trust Hearn to upload a promise of fighting AJ after Pulev (or worried AJ might get sparked and have to rematch)

Witherspoon had 4 days notice (he literally did!) and is 38 years old and no-one had ever heard of him before this fight.

All Usyk did was to run until Witherspoon was tired. Hunter looked way better against Povetkin (a genuine top 10 HW).

I'll give Usyk respect when he earns it. In my opinion he could get as afar as the top 5 but more likely top 8.

Not true at all. He's the cousin of the former world champ Tim Witherspoon and was a promising contender at one point. He fought Chris Areola and Tony Thompson before this. He may have come into the fight on late notice but he was active and he has always been a solid fighter.

And Lol @ earning your respect. Nobody gives two sh@ts about your respect. Usyk is most likely the greatest CW champ of all time.

Usyk just waited until Witherspoon was tired - anyone could have done that. Any top 20 HW would have KO'd Witherspoon in a few rounds.

I respect Usyk already at CW but not at HW yet. I'm waiting until he fights someone good first. Not that many great CWs make great HWs. I'm sure Usyk will make a decent HW but it might only take one KO loss for him to give it up.

Lol .....So, when Floyd employs this method of fighting without stopping his opponents even when they are tired, he's an all time great, fighter of the decade, but Usyk does it and stops his opponents, he get's almost no credit. Got it.

Your argument just doesn't hold up. There's more to this debate, so why not just lay all the cards on the table and we'll have a real conversation.

                  Huh?

Usyk is like 1.5" taller and about 30 lbs. lighter than Chisora.

How do you figure that Usyk is 'much bigger'?

I like Usyk, but not sure why you are defending his fight against Witherspoon. It was a short notice replacement, because the other guy tested positive, so no fault for Usyk.

But Witherspoon is a 38 year old, 3-days short notice opponent, career-high weight. Stopped fighting at a decent level for years already, has no significant wins and was stopped in every one of his step up fights (Arreola would have stopped him if he didnt DQ himself).
His loss to Seth Mitchell alone should give you an idea at what level he performs.

I'm not defending anything against anyone really credible and I take the fight for what it is. Usyk still dominated like he should have. Witherspoon wasn't relevant but he was still a solid opponent for a 4 day notice.
