Comments Thread For: Caleb Plant: Winning A World Title Was A Goal, Was Never THE Goal

NASHVILLE-The only takeaway for Caleb Plant in celebrating his first full year as a major titlist, is that there remains far more work to be done. "It means a lot to celebrate my one-year anniversary as the super middleweight champion of the world," Plant (19-0, 11KOs) told BoxingScene.com. "But I don't to look back at what I've done to be satisfied with where I'm at. Winning this world title has never been about the praise-it's fine that it comes with it, but that's never been what I'm about.

Cant wait for Benavidez to knock "Malibus Most Wanted" out.

        Underappreciated, skillful champion.
Plant is the Dark Horse of the division.

He is faster than anyone in the division by a long shot and the best pure boxer. Maybe the only one close to the speed he displays is BJS.

Can he knock him out? Sure. Can Plant knock him out? Absolutely he can. The only thing with Benevidez is that compared to Plant he is slower than molasses. Plant is the best pure boxer in the division by a long shot. He is also faster than Benevidez by even more. It’ll be boxer vs puncher and I go with boxer every time.

LOL who is saying that? All I've ever seen is PBC fan gimps accusing everybody of saying that but they never do.

Me myself personally I think the PBC is screwing their black stars. Won't let them take the big fights that will enhance their careers, unify belts, build a legacy and make more money.

The Super Middleweight champion of the world?

You mean The IBF Super Middleweight champion of the world

                    Two totally different things

I mean it’s possible for the sole IBF champion to also be the World Champion, but you don’t see it often. The only two I can think of are Larry Holmes and Mikey Garcia at 140. Inoue possibly at 118
