All these people talking about Ennis getting hit too much seem to forget about Crawford getting hit too often. Inactive and blown up Gamboa put Crawford on ***** street. A midget with short arms was able to hit and hurt Crawford lol. Peg legged Jose Bumavidez was touching Crawford until his leg gave out. Eurobum Mean Machine dropped Crawford his last fight lol.

Who the **** has Crawford beat at welterweight? How dare some of you clowns **** on Ennis' resume but not Crawford's overrated cherry picking welterweight resume. Crawford is a hype job that's supposedly a top welterweight but fought Jeff Bum Horn, peg legged Jose Bumavidez, washed up glass jaw Amere Con, and Eurobum Mean Machine. That's a murderer's row . Crawford be fightin da best doe . Ennis would demolish Crawford's competition. The Crawford bunboys are shook of any real competition for their overrated hype job. #DuckingPorter #HypeJob #Overrated #CherryPicker #BumBeater

Yeah, but Crawford doesn't get hit flush by short fat guys. I was pretty disappointed by Anus's last fight. He looked like a fast amateur

Crawford is an overrated lil ***** who was dropped in his last bout. He is even scared to fight Porter. Even talking if facing Ramirez coming up from 140...Regis Prograis said he had a dream Spence knocked his Black ass unconscious LMAO...I would love to see that

Hell of a fight for end of 2019. But Ennis needs one legitimate opponent first. His style definitely gives Crawford fits though and he can box with him at range and switch hit himself.

Crawford needs an elite opponent (or at least someone perceived as elite) so if Boots Ennis is that guy then I'm all for it (especially if a Shawn Porter fight doesn't materialize). Bud can't afford to spend the rest of his prime waiting for guys to "cross the street".

From what I've seen, it was Crawford who said he didn't want to fight Porter.

Terence Crawford REJECTS Shawn Porter Fight
                  Andy Brooks - December 26, 2019

WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford says he doesn’t want the fight with ‘Showtime’ Shawn Porter (30-3-1, 17 KOs) because it doesn’t make sense for him right now. Crawford says he’s “Focused on” other fights. Who knows? This might be the Top Rank promoted Crawford’s last chance to get a fight against one of the elite PBC fighters...

“That’s not a fight that I’m focused on right now or even worried about,” said Crawford to DAZN about a fight between him and Porter. “I’m focused on other things right now. If we had to fight and if it made sense, then that would be a fight that we would both agree upon. But right now, I feel like that’s not something we should discuss right now, because there’s nothing on the table for me,” said Crawford.

Interesting, and Porter said something similar about how he and Bud would have to "agree upon" the fight. I won't say that either guy is scared of the other. It just sounds like they would rather exhaust every other option before facing off because they are friends. I'm curious to see how it plays out because it seems like Porter's father is the one who is most eager to make the fight.

nah...the way i understood...irrc it went like this

before the mean machine fight arum was floating the notion they had their eye on porter if they got past mean machine...and porter made his comments...he even said something like "arum needs to slow down"....

then after the fight kenny porter publically said that they had the blessing from their people(haymon) to go ahead and make the fight

and then crawford backtracked....i believe they thought it was a cool idea to float porters name thinking that the pbc wasnt listening and wouldnt acknowledge them....that porter would never get haymons ok to talk to them....and then it happened and the reversed field real quick

thats how i saw it...if im wrong please let me know

                      here...heres porters comments

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum now considers Shawn Porter a potential fight option for Terence Crawford, a perspective that surprised Porter after previously hearing Arum call him a subpar boxer.

two days before the crawford fight

after crawford fight kenny porter said they could make a fight...and if you noticed the date of the comments...crawford clearly reversed course later
