Usyk is not a known quantity in the US. What will drive sales in the USA is the optics and the nationalism-Black v white, American v Russian. In the UK I'm sure it will be AJ that drives sales.

We need tbh, and everyone agrees without a doubt, but for any HW to truly sell he MUST be a Champion first. I mean it’s great that Usyk was an Undisputed Champ at Cruiser but casuals don’t gravitate to that. “Heavyweight” Champ in itself has attraction to casuals for the obvious historical reasons.

If and when Usyk becomes a Heavyweight Champ, that status is going to boost Ukrainians to see him fight. It makes that much a difference. His last fight his crowd was there to support. Premium ticket sales to see Usyk will be determined and I have no doubt many will turn up in Chicago or NYC since little Loma at the Garden had fans.

I don’t think Usyk vs Parker would make noise. It needs to be a genuine title shot, and even with that, the first defense would be the biggest turnout for Usyk. Since Ukrainian Americans would want to see who can beat their Champ.

Usyk is disliked on here because he brings Wilder down and out of the top 3 spot but despite who he wins or loses to if he fights Wilder who is easy pickings in that style clash he wins . If. AJ wasn’t around he picks up a belt for sure but he may get a one anyway should One become vacant .

It’s not exactly a secret that AJ is likely to vacate the WBO at some point. Hearn has already hinted at it. Usyk will probably end up with some easy vacant fight.

It’s good for Hearn that way, i think he would prefer the belts being fragmented between his stable, rather than risk losing them all in one fight, like against Ruiz.

I think Usyk is decent but for me the real up and coming heavyweight prospect is Daniel Dubois who looks the better fighter.

Usyk isn’t a prospect he’s a former world champion and Olympic one , DDD is at least 3 years up to being any threat to someone like that .
