Rahman: "Klitschko is The Guy I Want"

In an interview with South Africa's IOL, WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman made it clear that IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is on his mind and he is also the next fighter he wants to meet in the ring. [details]

I think Rahman would have a good chance against Wlad because of his punching power and Wlad doesn't have a great chin.

We will see how he looks against Maskaev to judge if he got any chance against Wlad.
He will have to fight the winner of Toney/Peter anyway, then eh could think about unification.

Klitschko will dust Rahman, Rahman better hope he gets an impressive KO win against Maskaev. I would love to see KLitschko-Rahman that would be awsome...

I think Rahman will allowed a voluntary defense, I mean hes gonna have 2 mandatories in a row after Maskaev, and 3 is just ridicolous...

This would be a great fight for the heavyweight division. It would clarify once and for all who is the man in the division, and would create a Ring Mag champ for the first time since Vitali hung them up. That said, I think it would be an ugly fight, with Wladimir winning a decision.

              This is great news.

If Rahman/Maskaev will actually face Klitschko/Briggs in a unification at HW (finally!) then I'll throw a party. Wlad-Rahman winner will have WBC/IBF and will be the universally recognized HW champ, the Ring champ, and DKP will be shut out in the cold if he continues to keep his fighters out of unifications.

Klitschko would kill Rahman the same way Lennox did the 2nd match...

This is news, and it's not.

I think Rock has been calling out Klitschko for over a year. I've heard him name either of the brothers.....multiple times.

I wonder why the fights never materialized?

That is true. You can never blame Rock for not trying to clean up the division. He will fight anybody.
