The dude literally fought like 70 years ago. I’m sure elite linebackers from the 50’s would get run over by practice squads guys of today.

Someone like Beterbiev or Kovalev would body Marciano today. I'd even give Canelo a good chance against him. His skills are in another dimension compared to Marciano's.

Agreed, there's always so much hatred whenever Marciano is talked about, here's a few undisputed facts
1 he could take a punch, and was more than willing too do so, if fact half of a dozen or more, to get inside, negating his lack of a jab
2 the man was always in supreme condition he trained like he gonna fight thirty rounds which always serves a heavyweight well
3 he could hit like a mule
4 he fought all contenders even his hero Joe Louis who on come back and likely would have regained the title had he not stood in the way
5 everyone talks about age difference between his opponent (9 year biggest difference?) It wouldn't be brought up today, but know one talks his actual boxing experience, which was next to zip comparatively
6 he became professional Fighter(he may have had a few before BB, but was never going to be his personal choice) after suffering injury's ending his professional baseball career, he played the position of catcher arguably one of the toughest in sports
7 he became a better Fighter after every fight
He isn't on my top 5 GOAT list but he certainly was on a lot of people's, just don't understand all "hate" . They say he had the mentality that he Couldn't be beat and the heart to back it up, he used to chant on his to the ring "let's get him of there early Champ" the same kind attitude and mindset of Wilder, Holyfield, Frazier, and I personally think he would do ok against today's crop
