Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis: They Can't Run No More at 147 - I'm Right Here!

ATLANTIC CITY Welterweight sensation Jaron Ennis scored his 15th consecutive knockout with a dominating fourth round TKO over the durable Bakhtiyar Eyubov. The switch-hitting Philadelphia native came out with a blistering pace in the first, switching from southpaw in the opening minute while displaying his signature power and hand speed.

I like Boots. He looks like a threat at 147. But he still needs a W that puts him on the map. Hes not even at the Spence pre-Algieri win stage of his trajectory yet. He needs to fight some guys folks know & look how hes been looking.

Then he can talk about cats running & it might have some bite to it. But hell even then with how deep 147 is he'll likely need a top 10 win before hes getting brought up in conversations seriously.

Ignorance. He must not see Crawford's predicament.

Too early to accusing anybody of running from him but I do think 2020 will be his break out year

Huh? Who is this 'better competition' virgil has fought that boots hasn't. Their competition has been about the same. They both need to step it up in 2020. I like them both even though I've only seen Virgil twice. I would absolutely love to see them get it on with the winner able to step up into the mix with the big names. I think boots is going to dominate 147-160 for the next 10-12 years. Unfortunately Virgil is stuck on DAZN with no quality fights in house, it's going to be hard to improve by fighting inferior opponents. He needs to think his options through.

Boots is cool an all but with all those clean punches to the head he was taking the other night hes isn't going to be "dominating" anything anytime soon...
