    Usky has a good manager

His manager realizes what's good for Matchroom may not always be good for Usyk.

Pushing for that WBO mandatory isn't a good thing for Matchroom because it strips Joshua of a belt. But it's good for Usyk because he's not relying on Hearn to grant him a shot at the belt later down the line

So many American managers are content with signing their fighter to a promoter and just cashing commission checks. The managers should be doing what's best for the fighters not what's best for the promoters.

    Good point. I agree.

Nice to see you make a thread not mentioning Crawford too bro. (JK)

Joshua won't be stripped as Usyk will wait for the mega payday.

It probably is a good thing for matchroom also to be honest.

If Usyk fought Chisora for the vacated belt then it would make the fight bigger etc.

It would then make the follow up match with Joshua even bigger because instead of being a “mandatory defence” it becomes another “unification” fight for Joshua.

I suspect there is a lot of talking going on in the background but it probably depends if they would put the belt on the line vs Chisora and what would happen if Chisora won the fight?

Even if he does...if usyk can pick up that belt, it sets up a unification fight with aj. In the long run, it’s good for Hearn, cuz it makes it a more significant fight when they meet.

I read quotes from Krassyuk on SkySports the other day saying that Usyk would face Joshua in either his next fight or the one after.
Joshua for his title, or Parker for the title if Joshua vacated.

I guess it works best for Joshua to vacate the WBO, as the IBF may be out of his reach for a while if he gives it up. While a unification with Usyk gets him a quick shot at his old title, while Usyk gets the unification chance, as well as the big HW pay day.

I like the sound of Usyk Vs Parker.

It's long been common for promoters to steer their fighters to a specific manager they find to be promoter friendly. So that manager can't afford to fight too hard for their clients because if they piss off the promoter, he'll steer his future fighters towards a different manager. The manager essentially becomes a puppet. Like Cameron Duncan was with Top Rank for instance.

Usyk will get a good payday against Parker then a mega fight against AJ. Instead of waiting around for an AJ payday
