Crawford willing to fight Danny Garcia (non champ)

the thing though is this....before and after his last fight arum was talking about porter.....

at that time do you think bob hadnt considered all the angles? why did arum keep mentioning porter? he did it a few times.....and bud was out there saying "ill fight anybody"

they were doing it because it was a nice line to be spouting off and acting like youll fight porter and anybody....until porter actually got the blessing from al haymon...thats what bob arum never counted on.....as soon as kenny said they had the blessing all of the sudden they reversed gears completely on fighting porter

Promoters use other boxers ALL the time to get more eyes on their own fighter.

Firstly Porter and Bud have some type of friendship. You might not think this could make it harder for these guys to knock each other out but odviously BOTH these guys do.

Secondly-Garcia is a good solid matchup plus it could get rid of his Mando for maybe a Spence or Manny fight later in the year.

Thirdly-Bud hasn't come outright and said he wouldn't fight Porter.
I'm sure if nothing else presents he would seriously consider it but Porter and Bud would need to hash it out together before anything happens.

This is a good fight. But I'll looking for consistency from Crawford about fighting champs. Won't entertain Porter because he doesn't have a belt but will entertain the guy without a belt who Porter beat.

Look, whatever angle of inconsistency you’re trying to look at, there’s only one thing I see. He doesn’t want Porter because of that friendship. I can give it a pass for now. There’s Garcia, he’s still another good option. Please, don’t go with this who beat who stuff. You use that notion to insert Porter, I can use that to insert Spence too in the conversation who beat Porter

Btw, you can’t blame Crawford for wanting unification. But if he has to fight another contender before going that route, why not Garcia? Don’t keep this guy away while pushing Porter upfront

Have you seen his smile when Garcia’s name got mentioned? It means he wants to fight him. I’ve been showing the same energy here about wanting Garcia to fight Crawford. No problem with me regarding the Porter fight but if he’s not 100% for that because of that friendship problem, I gave it a pass you don’t. You just keep on believing he doesn’t want any smoke against these level of opponents? I say he does, just not Porter. We’ll tackle that Porter issue if there’s no other option. But for now, why aren’t we pushing this Garcia fight for the Hornet killer instead?

Crawford said he would fight any of those guys . That's what HE said before Kenny Porter revealed that Al Haymon cleared the fight, he talked to Shawn, they want it, Bob Arum came out and said he wanted to do it, all Crawford had to do was make the call.

Danny Garcia isn't an unknown. He's only ever lost to the best in the division.

I don't mind Danny as far as legacy, but my problem is that it's 100% certain Danny Garcia is too damn slow. Unless Crawford decided to fight ****** against him like he did against Kavaliauskas, I don't see Danny being able to deal with Crawford's speed unless he can catch him with an unseen No Look Hook™

With Danny, since they have history from the amateurs, I think he would, but I doubt Arum wants it. Danny is not a PPV fighter and we've seen that Crawford isn't one either. So without PPV how do you pay everyone? He'd have to call Ellerbe to chip in, and I know they wouldn't.

oh yeah we def all know "this"...the problem is if someone thinks a pbc fighter is doing it everyone is all down their throats and bagging on them...when Crawford clearly does it everyone acts like its ok because he said or meant something else lol
