I'm curious if he's butthurt for life or if he gives Joe his props.

Now that Smith beat up Hopkins little buddy I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins is even more bitter.

I've not really seen people pose the question to him all that much, probably through fear of a bhop tongue lashing. I'd imagine the Kova burns more than Smith but who knows

Nah, he always give Kovalev credit actually. Plus, Hopkins showed how much heart he had in that fight, even for an old man.

I think the Smith fights hurts more because it was meant to be a retirement victory against a guy he felt wasn’t really good enough and he could old man his way through the fight, but he ended up getting literally knocked out of the ring. What a fitting way to get retired, knocked outside of the ring.

well smith was facing a 50 year man pretty much, how can eithercomplain?

He probably feels for the calzaghe decision. What with knowing he would have won handily with a bit more gas in his tank in his thirties must grate, because he previously flirted with facing Calzaghe at that age.

Plus it was such a slim decision. Knowing he had joe on the floor in round 1 and so out of it he had hit hopkins in the nuts to survive an early stoppage.

3 easy reasons to be unhappy, I can see why hopkins was peeved after.

I thought stylistically at the time, that it was a silly fight to take 'Joe Smith was in my eye's not a straight up mug'.

Hopkins could of had one more fight, against somebody stylistically who he could dominant for 12 rounds 'Hopkin's challenged himself until the end'

At the time when he fought Kovalev he was more feared that a peak Golovkin.
