Comments Thread For: Rey Vargas To Sign With Premier Boxing Champions

Rey Vargas is ready to resume his career-just under new management. The long-reigning undefeated junior featherweight titlist is in advanced talks to sign a multi-fight agreement with Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), two sources with intimate knowledge of discussions have informed BoxingScene.com. A time frame for Vargas' debut under the PBC umbrella has not yet been established although an announcement on the signing is expected in the very near future.

And GPB is happy to let him go lol.

Rey Vargas sucks and he is getting his ass kicked this year.

I wanted to see him fight Roman or Navarette. Who is on the PBC side?

Hopefully he moves up to 126. PBC has nobody at 122 and he doesn't seem interested in fighting the real threats at 122. I'd like to see Vargas vs Eduardo Ramirez in his first PBC fight, followed by Claudio Marrero if he wins that one

Still he's a hard guy to beat and was one of very few world champions Golden Boy had

Isn't the Heartbreaker and Stephen Fulton at 122?

Doubt Nery can make 122 any more and I have no interest in seeing him fight Rigo. Figueroa fight would be fun though

Yeah, I was just coming back to say I screwed that up. I was shifting him up a weight class. Don't think that would be a good break in fight for Nery though. I wanna see Vargas against guys closer to his size
