I would be happier with this if Saunders had fought and defeated Demetrius Andrade, or if he were coming off a more impressive victory. With that said, Callum Smith didn't look good in his last fight either so I guess I'm ok with Canelo grabbing a legit belt at 168. Hopefully Billy Joe brings his A-game if it happens.Sources: Canelo Alvarez has zeroed in on Billy Joe Saunders as his May 2 opponent, and negotiations are expected to pick up during the week toward consummating a deal. Saunders holds a 168-pound title, so a victory would make Canelo a full-fledged four-division champion

I hope this means we get Jacobs-Smith....Comment

While Canelo will be heavily favored, Saunders at his best is much more awkward and frustrating than people give him credit for. Seriously, there's a potential for an upset. He's a lot younger, quicker, and smarter on his feet than Golovkin and Kovalev.Comment

The key words are "at his best". Billy Joe Saunders has been hot and cold throughout his career so it's hard to know which one will show up on any given night. If he rises to the occasion then it could be an interesting fight. If not then I see Canelo blowing him out.Comment

So he only moved up to 175 when he saw a shot fighter their for the taking? This is why multi weight champ doesnt mean anything. Also Saunders hasnt done anything in recent years to earn a fight, whos he beat? Canelo literally covers 3 weight classes and goes up and down depending on who the most vulnerable champion is, and u clowns call that chasing greatness and FOTD ffs
the guy in your avi will not even fight champs in his own division LMAOComment

happy for Saunders to get the payday
but, in a perfect world...
Canelo/Benavidez... Saunders/Smith... and then the winners fight
or any mix I suppose... but I like the Benavidez fight for CaneloComment
