What makes them any more real fans than any other fan?
Generally I'm Sweden/Switzerland on these kinds of topics (neutral) as they bore me to tears now, but to be fair, both sides have pretty deep echo chambers. It gets very tiring.

A fan wants to see guys prove themselves against threats, even if they lose. Case-in-point: Canelo, Lomachenko, Inoue, Rungvisai, Spence, Porter, Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Tank.
Non-fans look at a guy who sparks B-and-C-levels and because of the 'eye test', calls that guy a P4P level fighter. Never holds that guy accountable for never stepping up in level of competition, belt or no belt, even if it means accepting a lower split as B-side. Case-in-point: Crawford, Andrade, Usyk, Danny García, Mario Barrios, Devin Haney, etc.
Think about it. Even Adrian Broner has stepped up to threats more than Crawford.
He's not getting Spence fresh off a poor performance against a B-level. And Spence is fresh off a damn car crash.
Like i said if he can then he should. Don’t think he will though. We’ll see how this all would unfold.
I like porter.. and i think he’d give crawford hell.
But i also want crawford vs spence first when they’re both undefeated. So im torn between wanting crawford to step up to the challenge and fight porter but risk losing.
Or just root for them to continue marinating and get straight to the spence-crawford.
It’s the same feeling i had when wilder-fury 1 got made. I was hoping for wilder-aj first when both still have their 0s.

Okay, but we wouldn't criticize Wilder when Joshua is the one who took the Ruiz fight (should have been Big Baby) instead of fighting Wilder after the $50 million was offered. Wilder took on a threat instead - Tyson Fury. Kudos to him for at least taking that fight likely knowing he was going to get outboxed.
I mean I give credit when you take a threat on with no asterisks in front of it. Joshua's only threats to date were Grabomir (who rocked him), Parker (who rocked him until the ref intervened to help Joshua), PEDvetkin (who rocked him), Ruiz (who rocked, dropped and stopped him) and Whyte (who rocked him and shouldn't have been a threat). So even if Wilder loses, the fight with Joshua is still big money because of Joshua getting the belts back. And maybe Joshua doesn't get sparked out in 3 rounds like originally; he might actually fight smart this time.
But then you look at Crawford who goes screaming about being ducked by PBC, 'Uncle' Tom Bradley screaming live on ESPN that PBC fighters are cowards...then...
And Crawford..."I'm not interested in that fight now."
