Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao is FOTD - NOT Mayweather - It's Not Even Close!

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum believes Manny Pacquiao is hands down the Fighter of The Decade. Arum promoted the eight division world champion during the most lucrative run of his long pro career. Pacquiao and Top Rank parted ways in 2017, and the Filipino superstar is now aligned with powerful adviser Al Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions.

Floydie retired barely halfway thru the decade. Meanwhile, Manny still fighting elites regularly, and winning.

PAC fought weightdrained opposes and washed up beaten opponents with a name. Very few if any undefeated champions other than injured out of the ringKeith Thurman. Andre Ward & Mayweather beat undefeated tough opposition while in their prime

I’m a floyd fan and Floyd washes Pacquiao at any stage of his career and proved it in 2015 even without his trusted legs. Even though Pacquio was knocked out sensationally ( sorry Pac fans he was) you cant begrudge him this award he deserves it and even now he is still proving himself to be the man

Got to go with gut instincts and pac is without question FOTD.
Started decade as a champ and finished decade as champ.

Floyd retiring halfway through the decade isn't a good look, and doesn't look like someone who expected to be challenging for top honours, especially with the first-hand knowledge and a history of missing out on Fotd the decade before

Floyd missed out on FOTD, the decade bef ore.
Do you really think Floyd expected to win FOTD this decade only fighting 5 years.? Does that look like a man leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of fotd?

Pac is the obvious choice for this award. I'm shocked that anyone has even mentioned Mayweather for this honour...He hasn't fought since 2015. That flyweight novice Cage fighter and the amateur Irish UFC fighter don't count. Canelo and Pac should be the two top considerations for this award.

Doesn’t matter what pac is continuing to do, him and canelo both lost to Mayweather in the decade along with pac losing to Bradley, Marquez by brutal ko and horn.... even if you think he won the Bradley and horn fight it’s losses on his record
