Gervonta Davis fight in Atlanta generated $2 mil gate

    Huge!

The only fighters who generated gates over a million last year were Spence & Mikey
    Spence & Porter
    Wilder & Ortiz
    Canelo & Jacobs
    Canelo & Kovalev
    Pacquiao & Broner
    Pacquiao & Thurman

Black fighters don't sell, doe. Right, Abel Sanchez?

'The Demographic' won't show up and support 'their own' like Mexicans will, doe. Right?

That's amazing. I'm proud to say I contributed to that $2 million. hopefully that means Atlanta will get more fights.

Joshua vs Ruiz I and II definitely surpassed a million gate as did Crawford vs Khan and GGG vs Derevyanchenko.

But Davis is a draw no doubt. That's why I'm fine with him going PPV next fight. Let's see if his good gates translates to PPV buys. Not always but only one way to find out. Lomachenko is going on PPV next fight and his gates are no where close to 2M.

I'll post the official numbers when I get them but as of yesterday they wweren't available.

It doesn't say it's the live gate though... it could be live gate + other things.

That's why I want to see the official commision report. Definitely do think it surpassed the million mark with how it was priced and how the tickets were going just a few days before the fight.

Come to think about it, I went to 2 fights on that list. I was at Spence vs Garcia also.

Me too. The fact how they don't directly say "live gate" is... weird. I think they mean something different than live gate. Maybe it's live gate + merchandising and food sales etc.

If he doesn't fight any better than he did he won't continue to bring in huge money. He was not impressive at all against washed up Gamboa. He is supposed to be improving but he has fought ten times better than that before.
