This is NSB. Whenever a boxer associated with Haymon and Floyd uses their power like other top guys NSB has a collective fit. I don't want to make it all about race and jealousy but those are the 2 primary reasons from where I sit.
Tank has established himself as a draw so he is going to be able to do things much like a young Canelo did, even though he isn't anywhere as big a draw. He has powerful backing so he will get title shots and high rankings just like other guys have always got.Leave a comment:

Please dude learn how to read. I didn't compare Davis to Canelo. I compared fans wanting to see Davis win with fans wanting to see Canelo win. That is why Davis gets a PPV fight like this the same way Canelo had the Kahn PPV.Leave a comment:

I don't care if 10 million people buy the PPV. I cant defend Porky's career. Always looking for advantages and doesn't give us a real fight. This is crap.Leave a comment:

I'm not sure that it is. Alot of fighters have fans who follow them regardless. Maybe the actual fight is less important than the event of it; it doesn't have to be a compelling fight for it to be a.compelling event as a centerpiece to a night of entertainment. There's nothing wrong with that but the fight itself can be judged based on its own merit.
Alot of boxing fans, myself included, thought Khan vs Canelo was a farce but it didn't stop people from watching it or enjoying the event of it. Same with GGG vs Brook or countless other fights...
If Tank can make the PPV buys and sell the tickets for this then more power to him. If the fight is at 135 (and I can't see Tank getting down to 130), then there's really nothing compelling about it for me. LSC was never a power puncher even at his best weights and his defense isn't all that great. Just don't see the competition in it.Leave a comment:

I think a lot of you don't want to admit people may tune in to see Davis win. No different than people watching Canelo destroy Kahn.
Fighters with these network deals get fights like this and have since the network deal became a staple. If a network invests in a fighter, they want to get as many fights out of the fighter as possible.Leave a comment:

Mostly down. He fought well against a shopworn Mares in first fight and fought well against Frampton in second fight. I can't recall any other fights where he fought someone who wasn't a heavy underdog.Leave a comment:
