Davis is a proven draw. He fills arenas. He will get fights like this because of it.
Kahn had no advantage whatsoever against Canelo. He was there to get KTFO and that is what happened.
We agree, it may not do 1/3 of the sales. If it does, than 1/3rd is 330k. 330k at $75 . do the math dude.
Outside of Canelo/Khan those mentioned were not $75 to watch were they? If your first PPV is against a FW when you have a loaded division at the weight you currently fight at this a sad fight to make.

He doesn't so that was an advantage in Khan's favor.

I'm saying Khan had no chance to win . His hands being faster is irrelevant because Canelo was so much bigger and powerful. The same way Canelo's hands are faster than Wilder's but wilder would knock his head off.
None of the fights, including Canelo/Kahn, were PPV worthy or should've cost what they did IMO. yet, they all met or exceeded sales expectations.
Your opinion on the quality of the fight is correct, but like those I mentioned it isn't about competition as much as it is putting the name in a fight they should dominate.

Not to mention size wasn't the determining factor in that fight. Rigo got completely & utterly outboxed and quit without taking any physical punishment. Just outclassed and embarrassed
Tanks team wants this fight with Leo because of its low risk- high reward. If the Mexicans support Leo the way they expect them to they'll use the success to further push their narrative that Tank is the biggest "star/draw" in their own little world

The odds makers also apparently believed Rigo was some sort of a threat because Loma was only a -300 favorite. Lets see the odds with LSC. LSC a guy whos not a puncher and ducked Rigo and GRJ, but going for a payday execution.
I think LSC is making a mistake if he goes up to 135, but if Tank has to make 130, I like the fight! I would rather LSC fight GRJ @ 130 first, winner gets Tank! I would rather Tank fight Berchelt, Farmer, or Jo Jo Diaz, but it is what it is! Haney just had surgery, Loma is fighting Teofimo Lopez, so i'll accept LSC.
