And your showing American insecurity as usual. The owner of the app has openly discussed the problems with US subs before the Hauser article even came out. Americans spend far more money than these other countries so please stop talking "potential customers" and talk reality.

The Hauser article shows that the expectation was 3.5 mil US subs in a year. Now what other country was expected to have that many subs?

If you don't have a strong footing in the US, its extremely hard to compete in the global market. Is it impossible, of course not.

You need to get over the fact that dazn needs to be successful in the US.

You're talking bollocks. The Hauser article clearly says DAZN doesn't expect to get make big strides in the US until rights for the major sports become available which isn't until 2021. No DAZN doesn't need the US to be successful. US is only a small part of the global market. More countries and more Football is what they need. Nobody else gives a **** about your American sports.

I would disagree to this extent. Look at how the NBA is trying to get into China and Africa. While it is important to get in other countries, the NBA has targeted China and Africa because of money and talent. They become the priority.

If you are dazn, I am sure Brazil and Chile are important and they want to establish footholds there. In no way are they more important than the USA because the growth potential in the USA is greater than these other nations.

Advertisers that spend money do Robbie. You babbled but didn't answer the question-which other nation was expected to provide 3.5 mil subs in the 1st year?

The USA is the financial capital of the world. To call it a small part of the global market shows your insecurity regarding America. To say it doesn't need to be successful in the US contradicts what Skipper has said. It contradicts the fact that dazn is offering gigantic sums of money to try and get more American fighters on the network. It contradicts the fact that dazn is focused on acquiring US sports.

Telling the truth about sales leveling off does not equate to wanting dazn to fail. At some point you guys need to be able to have conversations as adults. Just last week I posted how I really enjoy the Thursday GBP fights on dazn. Now why would I want it to fail when I enjoy the programming on it?

Of course enough time has passed. They do trend analysis which shows sales are leveling off. Doesn't mean it can't grow again.
Really?! DAZN has the MLB rights in multiple markets including Japan I believe (massive) and NBA rights in a few as well.

Ok last paragraph is just pedantic to be honest...

Fair enough you dont want it to fail, no one logical would. There is plenty of low key negativity towards it though and some obvious negativity too...it doesnt get said enough but it's because its associated with Hearn and quite frankly I find that pathetic. I grew up in the bay area, I am a cali boy at heart, so I feel I have a good perspective to say that many of the American posters here have a superiority complex....ugly

US customers pay a higher monthly fee, but the yearly subscription is more expensive in other countries.

                  In Germany it's 133 USD a year or 13,39 USD a month.
                  In Canada it's 115 USD / 15,38 USD
                  In Japan it's 17,50 USD (2017)

OK dazn has the rights in those markets just as other networks have the rights in other countries.

No, the last paragraph was necessary to remind you I didn't pull that opinion out of the sky.

As to negativity-ok? Were adults right? Adults don't always like everything. Now we can agree some of the reasons may be petty. There is pettiness on all sides. My point is if I point out something negative that happens to be true, equating that to "Wanting it to fail" is childish.

As for Americans with a superiority complex, I don't know if that is a bad thing.

OK. My point was Robbie minimizing the importance of the USA contradicts the things we are hearing and seeing from dazn.
