  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin Opens As 25/1 Favorite For Yet To Be Announced Szeremeta Clash

Gennadiy Golovkin is still without a set date, location and opponent for his next fight, but that hasn't stopped oddsmakers from already penciling him in as a sure bet to prevail. Heavy rumors have the 37-year old from Kazakhstan next facing Poland's Kamil Szeremeta (21-0, 5KOs) for the first defense of his second tour as a middleweight titlist. The targeted date is March 28, potentially in Chicago where Szeremeta will at least enjoy the backing of the area's massive Polish population.

Trash fight. FIGHT Andrade or retire. Getting 15m to fight a bum is a robbery

No wonder DAZN is swimming in the red. Losing money hand over fist.

It's time for GGG to go away if this is the best he can do now.

Why not Charlo or Andrade? Oh that’s right... he’ll get another boxing lesson. This guy is a ******** coward. He should just go away. I hope karma bites this PED cheat sooner or later.

The sad part about this is media members will suck his dìck & not apply pressure & ask "why he's not fighting Andrade" when there's nothing stopping that fight.

                1. It's a mandatory

                2. Szeremeta is ranked
                #7 at TBRB
                #6 at The Ring
                #13 at BoxRec
                #3 at IBF
                #4 at WBC
                #8 at IBO

Is it the best fight out there?

                No.

But this is a ranked opponent and an IBF mandatory. The IBF has stripped both GGG and Canelo in recent years for not fighting their mando (in both cases it was Derevyanchenko).

The IBF hadn't even called for the mandatory defense to be made yet. Golovkin was free to fight someone better.
