How would Floyd PERFORM if he had DRAINED and never fought at 147-154?

Remember that Floyd fans swear by network disclaimers for weights, and there’s the urban legend that Floyd hardly gained any weight from the scales to fight night.

Let’s put in some context. Canelo haters have a hard time accepting how Canelo performed against Kovalev... because remember, Canelo wouldn’t have to drain at all for LHW and just a tad bit for 168. We know this because Canelo looks filled and proper at 168-175, yet small compared to the elites at those weights.

So... it goes to show, as many stated, that most in the game except for HW, everyone drains whether we like it or not, particularly for fighters whom stay only at a certain weight yet we know for fact they can compete at higher weights.

It could be said that Floyd gets credit for honoring his latest classes, 147-154, but I even have some skepticism how those were done considering he was the cash cow...

Crawford wasn’t very young when he fought Gamboa and already fully grown unless his camp or he would admit that his metabolism somehow truly went a turn. I don’t buy it because Crawford at 135 looked seriously unhealthy at weigh ins and was weighing a recorded 153 on fight night, and well, was a Top Rank fighter...

So how would you compare Floyd weighing 147 on the scale compared to Crawford’s fight night weight at 135? 153-147; 6lbs variance. Did Floyd ever go past 6lbs from the 147 scale?

So Floyd is a 5 Division Champ. Would you say that if Canelo went back to 160 it would be like Floyd draining from Welterweight to 135? Or 130?

Everyone knows that I’ve said numerous times that Floyd does cut weight for the scales and the networks protected his requests, advised by Al Haymon. I think the most Floyd has ever been was 156lbs. It means that Floyd could’ve competed at 154 consistently, but never took the risks as Hauser always pointed out.

You’re dumb bruh. You can’t even see the parallel.

Would you consider Crawford, now, his natural physique? Is Crawford bigger now than when he campaigned at 135? Some say Crawford has been walking around the same since 135-140. So it means should Crawford been at 147 when he was at 135? The 135 where he was draining crazy.

We all know Crawford can compete at 154 now.

Elite athletes CAN drain. It’s by choice. Some call it weight bullying and others call it industry practice. So if Floyd had never campaigned at 147-154. Couldn’t he have shaved off 12lbs of water weight? Golovkin could so 13lbs since Rubio, and nowadays I think he does a minimum of 15lbs.

This is why I always say GGg would be in optimal performance at 168+

So would Floyd perform had he always stayed at 135? You do realize Broner was draining below 140.

I'm pretty sure I lost some brain cells reading this. I think what you want to say/ask is that if Floyd would've remained at a low weight class where he had to cut weight, would he do better or worse than what he did as an undersized welter/superwelterweight?

The answer is yes, more power and better punch resistance since he'd be fighting smaller less powerful guys, and we literally saw the change of his style and performance as he moved up so i don't know why you're asking this. Are you new to the sport?

He'd do much better than what he did at 147 and 154 until the weight cutting caught up to him and started affecting his stamina and chin. I don't think Floyd ever fought at a weight where he wouldn't be able to make in his late 30s though, maybe 130 would become difficult, but i'd say he could've stayed at 135 from 02 till he retired without too many weight issues because of his body type and lifestyle. Hopefully that answers your question.

Man, imagine spending so much of your life defending a grown man you don't even know personally?

idk but Gervonta Davis is the same weight as Pacquiao in the ring. Tank should move up to 140 ASAP.
