Comments Thread For: Liam Cameron Retires After Drugs Ban Upheld

Liam Cameron has retired from boxing after failing to secure his licence again. The 30-year-old hasn't seen action in the ring since stopping Nicky Jenman back in April 2018. Cameron tested positive for benzoylecgenine in the same month as his win over Jenman, at the Ice Sheffield, and was subsequently banned for four years by UK Anti-Doping.

        exactly this!!

***** Shyte got popped with an ultra powerful roid that leaves the body in 24 hrs & can be microdosed which is the preferred method of use in boxing(especially right after vada had just tested him repeatedly & he thought he was free to do a 1 day cycle to get that extra boost)& even though there was no possible way shape or form he could've ingested it accidentally & he already was banned for 2 yrs prior, somehow UKAD let him fight & let him go unpunished without any justification given whatsoever as to how they can possibly excuse blatant Roid juicing.

And just as this case shows along with countless others, ukad doesn't go after rich boxers whos yearly income is far more than ukads yearly budget.

Ukad knows if they were sued they would go bankrupt & LITERALLY admitted as much with Fury who at the time had a implausible excuse but its at least an excuse which Shyte still hasn't even come up with.

Yeah, he must not have money behind him like Whyte did.

A real shame that a recreational drug gets you more time than performance enhancing one

D-Bol can actually leave your system within as little as 4-6 hours. Dillian was obviously micro-dosing and got caught.

If Whyte was truly innocent and had accidentally ingested a contaminated supplement, he’d go the Yoel Romero route and sue for multi millions. We all know why he won’t do that though...😂

UKAD are essentially institutionalising cheating by allowing themselves to be bullied by powerful corporations.

            It’s absolutely disgusting.

It’s completely unfair and morally corrupt. Athletes shouldn’t be taking ******* but as you say it’s not performance enhancing. How can they even justify it?

this happening in the UK in the wake of dillian white taking an anabolic steroid, providing no evidence of contamination, and getting off scott free is an embarrassment.

british boxing fans should be ashamed. they need a new governing body and drug testing regulators. UKAD does not go up against eddie hearn's top earning boxers. they even said themselves that tyson fury would bankrupt them if they fought him in court. god knows what joshua has gotten away with.
