  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Waits For Clarification on Joshua's Next Mandatory Foe

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, says his boxer's next fight has yet to be set in stone - with his options still wide open. Joshua reclaimed his four titles last month in Saudi Arabia, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Andy Ruiz.

It will likely be Pulev, with Usyk in line to probably pick up a vacant WBO strap (much more difficult than it sounds).

      Joshua will

Mark my words Joshua will fight fury or Wilder once he feels they have lost a step
      Or slowing down.

Fury will fight Joshua anytime, Wilder might fight Joshua if he thinks he's slowed down but given how many champions to unify with he's already declined it may still be a long wait. I can't see the PBC cashing out there cash cow yet.

Wilder will give Ortiz the trilogy if he feels he has slowed down a bit

Who will Hearn feed to Usyk...? Del, JP, Dillian or David Price?

They say, the first thing to go are a fighters legs, then the money, then the friends, but a fighter can keep his punch into old age. I've seen videos of old fighters knocking out chumps in the street. Wilder is blessed with that gift, AJ won't see the day, unless Wilder gets into a right hand accident, where he can fight, but can't use it.

Hearn isn't waiting on anything. He already knows he wants Joshua to drop a belt for Usyk.

I think Chisora is the highest ranked by WBO without counting Whyte as that is not going to be Usyks next opponent. So yeah, Chisora but it is hardly feeding Usyk.

The former undisputed cw champ is a very good fighter but if he thinks he can have his way with a full sized heavy, then he has another thing coming.

This is business pure and simple, no pride involved from Hearn’s perspective...just how many cards can he own 100% and that’s the correct way for him to think...he’s a promoter.

So on that basis, I think Usyk will get Chisora and then Parker to build his profile and then a shot at Joshua if he looks good. Usyk is overrated, I don’t think he’s gonna look great against either.
