Why didn’t Shane Mosley have to prove himself before fighting De La Hoya?

Why didn’t De La Hoya make Shane Mosley fight Oba Carr and Ike Quartey before he fought him?

Why didn’t fans question what Shane Mosley has done to prove himself at welterweight before that fight?

Why was everyone okay with Mosley jumping up to welterweight and getting De La Hoya after he fought at that weight one time?

I think it was because De La Hoya wasn’t a f**king p***y and it accepted the challenge so it never became a storyline.

Why didn't Mikey have to prove himself at 147 before fighting Spence?

Gtfoh. Shane was as stand up as you can get when he was prime..
Beat prime Oscar in a classic
Could have legitly ducked prime Forrest and Wright, guys who were stylistic nightmares for him
Past his peak, Came thisclose to beating a prime, undefeated Cotto in another classic...probably softened him up for Margarito...

You see how scared Floyd was, waited a year and a half to fight him after he called him out on tv, he was pretty much a spent bullet after he rocked Money with the two piece...

Whatever break he got, he earned it, and gave the fans classics in return...
